I normally wouldn’t do a post of one maxi dress right after the other as variety is the spice of life after all, but this blog is about what I’m stylistically feeling, and right now it’s a maxi dress. They’re comfortable, easy, appear far more dressy than they feel, and in warm weather, why not.
In my opinion, this Indah Flamingo Maxi stands alone. I don’t have much else to say except that I bought it in blue, too. Sky blue, actually…it looks just like a cloud and I will be doing a post on that one as well. Star overkill? I’ll wait a few weeks…
To think that I saw this dress and actually walked away from it after our first encounter. I tried it on and deliberated. What was I deliberating?! Clearly I was indecisive and quite possibly not in my right mind that day because I just left it at the store, all by its pink starry lonesome self. Literally two or more weeks later, I still couldn’t get this garment out of my mind. On a prayer, I called the store where I initially saw it. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would still be available. There was only one the day I was there–this one! Even the sales associate marveled at the fact that it hadn’t gone home with anyone else. We both agreed, the dress was waiting for me. Given the amount of foot traffic that store gets, there was no other explanation. Yes, I sort of believe in signs. Well, this stunning maxi didn’t have to wait long because I was in the car lickety split for one of my relaxing long drives, this time the best of both worlds–relaxing and long but with a purpose. The dress was finally mine!
You must be wondering how I came about the blue that I am referring to. Same store, different location. One in blue, IN MY SIZE. I said to the sweet girl helping me, this is a definite! I didn’t even take it into the fitting room with me–I wasn’t leaving without it. I struck gold finding one. Platinum with two.
It wasn’t wrinkled when I started my day, but who cares–the stars make up for it.
