I’ve always loved all things Nautical. Spring and summer have historically been associated with nautical fashions. Like Equestrian attire is to Fall and Winter, come March the anchors drop and horizontal stripes hit the stores.
As we approach the warmer months, I can’t help but reflect with fondness of my years spent as a flight attendant based in Boston. My husband and I visited the area a few summers ago and I was all too happy to show him the beautifully historical city that I once called home. We were also able to visit Cape Ann, but sadly given that we were pressed for time, we had to forgo Cape Cod and the islands. Ahhhhh the islands…Nantucket being one of my most favorite relaxation destinations in the United States. Fortunately for me, Honolulu is a pretty great place to be as well.
So I was feeling a bit nostalgic as I got ready this morning and I convinced hubby to take a trip to the boat harbor. It was a beautiful day and still chilly enough that my sweater jacket was necessary. I am by no means a mariner, but I’d sure love to be. I even made mention (attempted to convince) my husband that we need a boat. Not sure for what as I get sea sick but it was a nice daydream. For now, I’ll just stick to lunch on the pier and nautical attire.
