It’s been a semi-rough week. I say semi as these issues are very minor compared to life’s real challenges. But, I thought I would mention them as they’re still quite annoying. For starters the heel of my brand new Gucci pumps got caught in a street grate and the leather on the heel was ripped off. Nice. I then ruined my just purchased Hermes Jersey Scarf with a red marker. After hours of trying to repair the damage myself, I am left with one corner of the scarf a beautiful hot pink–it’s supposed to be white. Double nice.
The most serious of all of these issues is that I severely injured my tailbone and ended up in the Emergency Room. The pain is almost unbearable. I have a very high pain threshold so for me to complain about pain, it has to be bad. Well, it is. So this injury of mine has put a halt to riding and wearing heels for now. Again, in the grand scheme of things, a minor inconvenience.
On a happier note, I finally wore this topshop sweater that has been in my closet for a few months. I paired it with BCBG leggings and mostly Hermes accessories. I wore my Sterling Silver Hermes Farandole 160 as a necklace. Sometimes I use it as a belt. It’s so versatile with a lot of weight to it which makes for a very substantial and solid investment piece. I added the Hermes Meteore statement ring and also a Grand Apparat Bangle. My earrings, also horses, are the Slane & Slane epona design, although sadly they were discontinued a few years back. However they do show up on ebay from time to time. I sell on ebay–only pieces from my personal collection that have either never or seldom been used. It’s a good way to pass along items that are in excellent condition that are no longer in my regular wardrobe rotation.
My pumps are Gucci, and for the record, this shoot was done prior to my tailbone injury–lol. Make-up is a quick smokey eye with M.A.C. pressed pigment in Jet Couture and soft, yet pink lips with M.A.C. Saint Germain Lipstick and Lipglass.
So, I’m a little behind the bit and under the weather at the moment. Hopefully next week will be better and I can don some heels and get back in the saddle again, although certainly not at the same time.
