The weather has cooled off quite a bit in recent weeks. It has also been pretty windy. I was so happy when I picked up this Free People sweater a few weeks ago–it’s so cozy and comfy. Needless to say, I could not wait to wear it!

It just so happened that I had a fitted tank dress bearing a similar color to one of the horses on the sweater. I added the electric blue boots to kick up the outfit (pardon the pun) a notch. When I came across the boots in Nine West they kind of made me want to break into song with Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets.” As the song goes “She’s got electric boots, a mohair suit…” Anyway, I went with it and bought the boots but spared the sales associates my rendition of the song.

It was a casual shopping day with lots of running around so my Hermes Garden Party tote came in handy as it’s nice and roomy but not huge. Wrapped around the handles are Hermes Twilly’s (this particular pattern is called “Sequences”–horse themed of course) to dress the bag up a bit. Hermes Twilly’s are a fabulous accessory as they can be tied on bag handles, worn in the hair and also around the neck or as a bracelet. So a lot of versatility there! They are works of art so just looking at them makes me smile. My earrings are lavender Druzy’s by Doolittle Jewelry.

  1. That sweater looks very cozy in a lightweight sort of way. I knit and am inspired to pick up the needles and make something. I love the color of the yarn and the simple flowy design. The horses add to the movement of the piece. Those electric boots are fantastic and I am awed by the success of your color pairings! I have a dark brown pair of cowboy boots with a blue leather star on the front and always thought I had to wear something blue to match. Now I know I don’t have to. Thanks!
